Babies, Burritos and Blogging

First of all let me say I am so excited to join the new blogging trend. I told Eileen just the other day that I am determined to not be frightened by new technological trends but to conquer them. This is my conquest! I guess this blog will mostly be for my family who lives in South Carolina, but of course if anyone else is actually interested in hearing about my day to day grind then they are welcome to read on.

I guess I'll start my first post with a synopsis of my day. Seeing how it's only 8:00am, you would think I wouldn't have much to tell, but you would be wrong in that assumption. I started my day blinking at the moon shining through my blinds at 5:00am. It's become a regular start to my day since the beginning of new life in my stomach! So I did my routine; went to the bathroom, drank some water, fluffed my pillow and closed my eyes. One hour later, I lay there still blinking at the moon. So I stumbled out of bed and felt around the room for my new robe Jon got me for Christmas and my warm slippers, grabbed my blanket, my lemon water filled bottle, my laptop and headed downstairs. An hour later I find myself on facebook. I'm the only one up at that hour, of course, so I start roaming through some old friends pictures and come across a blog from a friend in SC, (Rhonda). So I decided, what better way to pass the time? I'll start a blog of my own!

The end.

Not.

As I begin to open my new google account, my body takes over. "You're not going to start a blog, you're going to run to the bathroom and be so tumultuously sick that you wont be able to walk up the stairs." So I follow my bodies orders and plop back down on the couch. I am angry of course, because I am now 15 weeks, well enough into my second trimester, (or so I think) that I shouldn't be sick anymore. I am slowly coming to the conclusion, however, that I am not able to decide when I won't be sick. So finally after trying to call my husbands cell phone to wake him up, I gather enough strength to drag myself up the stairs to wake my poor husband. He graciously sacrificed his one day to sleep in to make me a scrambled egg burrito with bacon. I am pretty sure I hit the jackpot when I married him :)

Needless to say I am so grateful for my husband. He jumps out of bed for my every whim; to add a little more cheese to my quesadilla, or a little more lemon to my water. I am so blessed to have a husband who cares for me so much. I know he is going to make an amazing daddy!

  1. Awwww what a good hubby! Man that baby is doing a number on your tummy girl! :( My what to expect for week 17 said hopefully by now the sickness is gone, so I hope it comes to an end soon for you. Sounds like your baby is an independent thinker and taking Mommy along for the ride. Haha

I am glad you have joined the blog world! I know my parents and my grandparents all love that I made one. My mom says whenever she is missing me she likes to get on and just look at my pictures I post. I should probably post more pictures of me, and less of food then.

ONE MOOOORRREEE WEEK!!! AHHHHHHHH I am so excited for this time in the pregnancy! It is pretty much like the best part I think! [Well you know besides the baby coming and such] I look at pregnancy like an amusement park ride. Its the uphill ride anticipating and wondering what is going to happen until you find out the gender, now your at the top of the ride! Then the rest comes at you so fast and you're just enjoying every new second of it until BAM ride is over and at the end there is baby!

And yes, while writing that, I may have been imagining my favorite water log ride at Fiesta Texas that goes all the way up then comes down into a splash!

I look forward to reading more!
